my original post of the roses on park avenue may not have given the best sense of how beautiful they are since they were covered in snow at the time. Here are some more photos taken on a bright, sunny day with blue skies!
Back in the fall I started noticing the phrase "Become Your Dream" (with a fish) written in chalk on the sidewalk. I finally looked it up online wondering if it was perhaps something "i should know about."
Turns out it was the work of the famous street artist James de la Vega. And he certainly seems to be spending a lot of time in my neighborhood, as I've seen the phrase pop up recently in all sorts of unexpected places.
Some may think its just graffiti, but I enjoy seeing it and feeling inspired on an otherwise ordinary stroll to the subway.
Here's a name painting I did for a new little friend named Quinn. She was born on 1/11/11, and I can't wait to meet her! Her nursery is orange and pink so I thought this would look great on the wall.
